Race 5, BROOKS DUATHLON Series

RICHMOND - VICTORIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS - BROOKS DUATHLON RACE 5 - 2nd October 2011

Due to the Daylight Savings change, the race started a little later at 9:00am (unfortunately I didn't notice this small detail).  This gave the temperature a chance to rise above double figures resulting in excellent conditions for a race.

There were significant changes to the usual Richmond course with a large section added to the other side of the Freeway overpass.  In my opinion this new course is an improvement and I suspect we will do something similar next year.

Richmond is a flat and fast course and with very good conditions we saw some great results from Taylormade members.  In the Dash, Tanya was so fast she beat a team entry and Elaine's fast running saw her beat several younger competitors.

Thanks to:
  Sally Ham - Technical Official

Congratulations to:
Elaine McNamara - 1st Female 55-59 (state champion and series winner)
  Rob McNamara - 2nd Male 40-44
Maxine & Chris Howard - 1st Team in the Dash
