How and why we collect information

The personal information we collect about you is basically supplied by you when you apply to join the club.  We mainly collect information in order to provide you with information in relation to our training and coaching and to provide you with offers or services that may be of interest or benefit to you. We also ask for a emergency contact details in case of a medical emergency where the club feels responsible to advise someone on your behalf.

What we collect

Generally the information we collect includes your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, date of birth and occupation.

Who we may share your information with and why

We may need to pass personal details on to Triathlon Victoria in order for your Triathlon Australia membership application to be processed. In special circumstances, for example if a race organiser requests details, your information will be relayed to them. We will not use your information for purposes unrelated to the services we provide, unless we first obtain your consent. Occasionally we may provide aggregated and "de-identified" information to related businesses for various reasons. Your e-mail address will not be available for club members to view on club e-mail circulars. All club members are bound by this privacy policy and should not use member e-mail addresses for any business outside the club, without prior consent.

Security

We handle and store your personal information securely and carefully.  Only the coaches have access to your information.
